I am proud to annonce that I have the honor of being invited to the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the Department of English Language and Literature as an Academic Lecturer. My presentation will concern the adaptability of the teaching material provided to each ELT instructor, incorporating 21st century educational techniques, empowering English language students. “Hey Ms. Katherine! Now that I’ve passed my proficiency exam, I’m officially a teacher like you! I’m capable of doing your job, right? Besides, how difficult can it be?”
Woah there! Just hold your horses for a minute. Why in the world would you believe that as a holder of a C2 level certificate in English, you’re ready to teach the language to others? Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you aren’t, but just bear with me for a second.

Η παράδοση και εμπέδωση μιας δεύτερης γλώσσας προαπαιτεί την ένταξη και ορθή χρήση νέων ακαδημαϊκών τεχνικών, εμπνευσμένες από τις πλέον αναγνωρισμένες δεξιότητες του 21ου αιώνα. Ποιες είναι αυτές οι δεξιότητες και πώς μπορούν οι μαθητές να επωφεληθούν από αυτές στη μετέπειτα πορεία της ζωής τους;
